Finally, Rocksmith 2014 has a pretty decent latency reducing setting in its setup options where you match up what you see on screen with what you hear from your system. A lot of the higher end TVs these days, from LCD to OLED, have pretty low latency numbers if you're in these modes. If one doesn't have those specific types of inputs you can often choose a "Game" or "PC" mode through your TV menus that'll also bypass most processing if set on generic HDMI 1 or 2. As for the TV, hooking up your PC's HDMI out to the TVs "Game" or "PC" HDMI in, if it has one, bypasses a lot of your TV processing as well. This can be called "Stereo Direct", "Pure Direct" or other names depending on brand. This is available on most receivers and bypasses all onboard processing (odyssey, etc). If you can run analog from your PC to your receiver for the audio (line out to RCA input) that is the best option but it also pays to enter direct mode on your receiver even if you have HDMI alone. We reckon the Xbox Store is the best port of call but those over the other side of the format wars line will probably prefer the PlayStation Store. While this can be an issue on some setups, as stated above there are ways to get it really close to little latency with many systems. However you go about getting access to these tunes is neither here nor there though, just pop on over to your favoured digital store in order to nab the content. Our personal favourite is certainly that of Anthony Vincent and Set The Charge, if only because his Ten Second Songs series of videos is utterly brilliant.īut that’s not to say there isn’t a place in this world for Audrey and Kate, or even The Dooo, and so if you like what they have delivered to their millions of subscribers, and wish to replicate it on Rocksmith, then you can now do so.Įach of the tracks included in the Social Stars pack are also available individually too, with a £2.49 price tag attached to each. Now depending on your own subscription feed, or how much you delve into the inner workings of Youtube, you may or may not have come across any of the artists above. “Guitar Solos With Dooo #2 – Ascend” – The Dooo.
